I'm here!!

Originally I had the idea for a blog documenting my move from my home in PA to Long Island, NY.  That was the end of 2012 / beginning of 2013.    Well after doing some job interviews, and more job interviews, and then some more, I really didn't feel like writing about my experiences.   Well I am fortunate to say that by the end of the year I had an opportunity presented to me that has allowed me to move!!  I don't want to say much about it now, but I am happy to say that I have come to New York, right in the middle of the holidays, right as the year is wrapping up.

I'm excited to take this chance living in a new place to try new things and meet new people.  I feel that all of this will keep me inspired to keep writing.

Slowly taking over Selden's bagel shops!

I love bagels. Wait, let me restate this. I LOVE BAGELS. I thought I knew what a great bagel was but found out I was wrong when I first tried a New York bagel in Queens a few years back. When I first started coming to Selden, E would take me to get a bagel once a weekend. I was hooked! These bagels up here are not like the bagels in the area that I'm from. Now whenever we get bagels. I check in to foursquare and yelp. Today I am happy to announce I am now the mayor on foursquare and the duchess on yelp for Strathmore Bagels in Selden!!!

Once upon a time...

There is always a beginning to every story that should be shared.  There is also always a way to procrastinate from what needs to be done.  This blog just might be a combination of both!!

I'm a girl from Pennsylvania who is in love with a man from Long Island, NY.  After some long talks about where we want to go in our lives, it has been decided that I should look for a job in New York and move in with him.  Currently there is one major problem - our economy sucks and jobs are amazingly difficult to come by.   Until I can find a full time job that offers a livable salary and benefits, I will continue to live in PA and look online to apply for jobs so I can move and be with the one I love.

The new year is upon us and I'm nicknaming 2013 the "YEAR OF THE MOVE!"  I'm hoping that by this time next year, I can post from a permanent residence in New York.
